Digital Creation Laboratory, Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research (TASA)

Based on the theory of "human settlement science" and from the five perspectives of ecology, economy, science & technology, society, and culture involved in human settlement, this Laboratory utilizes cutting-edge digital intelligence technologies to conduct systematic and interdisciplinary research on human settlement. By leveraging the originality of humanities and arts in various regions and considering changes across the world from the past to the present, the Laboratory strives to forge an R&D bridge between industry and academia featuring the commercialization of high-value achievements and pioneer to build a digital industry-university-research system for digital creation. Moreover, it works hand in hand with industrial clusters and academic institutions to build livable, harmonious, and beautiful human settlement that boasts profound cultural connotation and also secures sustainable development.

The Laboratory focuses on human settlement planning services and digitally simulated interaction services:

1.The human settlement planning services are based on the five settlement principles of ecology, economy, technology, society, and culture, aiming to carry out the planning and construction in five aspects of natural, social, human, living, and support systems.

2.The digital intelligence empowerment services, namely the digital intelligence services for human settlement planning services, are interconnected with the information systems for qualitative research on human settlement and integrated with regional humanities and arts in various forms of digital intelligence services regarding engine technology, digital twin and simulation interaction, PCG restoration, computing power and AI application support, and customized solutions, so as to develop human settlement application scenarios featuring virtual reality interaction that are traceable, reusable, modifiable, linkable, and creative.
